AW Aromatics Limited, trading as Ancient Wisdom, has recalled its Bath Donut bath product because it presents a serious risk of choking, according to a Product Recall notice published on gov.uk under PSD notification number 2610-0144. The notice states that the local authority required the product to be withdrawn from the market and recalled by the wholesaler.
The notice says the product's form, appearance, colour and size mean it may be mistaken for food by young children or vulnerable users, and that small parts can be easily detached and put in the mouth, creating a choking hazard. According to the notice, the product does not meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 (the Cosmetics Regulation) or the Food Imitations (Safety) Regulations 1989.
The affected product is a 180g bath product shaped like a donut, packaged in sets of 16 in cardboard packaging, with barcode 5056422985222 and country of origin the United Kingdom. The notice lists models 01 Blueberry, 02 Raspberry, 03 Toffee & Caramel, 04 Strawberry & Banana, 05 Chocolate & Coconut, 06 Lemon Meringue, 07 Cinnamon & Vanilla and 08 Blackberry & Almond.
The notice advises owners to stop using the product and keep it away from children, and to contact the retailer or supplier for a replacement or refund.
