AG Barr recalls Rubicon Yuzu & Pink Grapefruit 1L cartons over undeclared sulphites

AG Barr is recalling Rubicon Yuzu & Pink Grapefruit 1L cartons because they may contain undeclared sulphites that are not mentioned on the label, according to a Food Standards Agency alert issued on 4 November 2026. The FSA said the product may contain sulphites, making it a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

The affected cartons are 1L packs of Rubicon Yuzu & Pink Grapefruit in four batches: batch code 6160 with a best-before date of June 2027; batch code 6198 with a best-before date of July 2027; batch code 6219 with a best-before date of August 2027; and batch code 6257 with a best-before date of September 2027.

According to the FSA, AG Barr is recalling the product and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores selling the product, explaining why it is being recalled and what customers should do if they have bought it.

The FSA's consumer advice states that anyone who has bought the product and has a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites should not consume it, and should instead return it to where they bought it from for a full refund. The FSA says further information is available by contacting consumercare@agbarr.co.uk.

The FSA said the alert was issued on 4 November 2026 and that its title was updated on 5 November 2026 to include the words "because they may contain".
